Garlic Granules


Granulated garlic is a popular way that many people choose to prepare and store their garlic, as it lies somewhere between garlic powder and sliced cloves. Granulated garlic has the consistency of cornmeal, rather than the very fine grains of garlic powder , and it is a popular addition to savory dishes, soups, stews, rubs, salsas , and pasta salads. It is used in a wide range of dishes, roasted version gives a mellow, nutty flavor. It has a sharp garlicky taste as compared to the roasted form, and it takes around 20 min for the regular version to release the flavor. In some recipes, you can replace fresh garlic with granulated garlic.

A head or bulb of garlic usually contains about 10 cloves. 1 clove = 1 teaspoon chopped garlic = 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic = 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder = 1/2 teaspoon garlic flakes = 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic = 1/2 teaspoon garlic juice
